Planning a wedding, birthday or private celebration? This page explains what is included, how the booth is installed, which options are useful, and what to check before booking.

A photo booth should feel simple for you and fun for your guests. The goal is not to give you more things to manage on the day. We bring the equipment, install it, operate it during the rental period, and make sure guests can enjoy instant printed photos throughout the event.

What is included in the basic package?

All Kiss Photobooth basic packages are designed to cover the essential needs of a wedding, birthday or private event in Mauritius. You choose the number of rental hours, the photo design, and any extra options you need.

How to book the photo booth

The booking process is simple. The most important information is your event date, venue, rental start time, package duration and options.

Fill in the online booking form

Choose your package, photo design, printing options, setup details and event information.

We check availability

We verify the date and details, especially for busy wedding periods, weekends and end-of-year events.

You receive your invoice

We send the invoice and payment details. A deposit is required to confirm the booking.

Your booking is confirmed

Once payment is received, your booking is confirmed and your date is reserved.

How much space is needed?

For a comfortable standard setup, we normally recommend around 3m x 3m. If you choose a backdrop, green screen or studio-style setup, around 4m x 4m is better. This gives guests enough space to pose without people waiting behind them appearing in the photo.

For weddings at hotels, beach venues or restaurants, it is best to choose a place that is visible but not blocking service staff, the buffet, the bar, the dance floor or the main entrance.

Useful venue tip: the booth should be on stable, level ground, close to a power point, and protected from rain, strong wind, direct sea spray and heavy sun exposure.

Is an operator included?

Yes. An operator is present during the rental. The booth is designed so guests can use the touch screen themselves, but the operator helps guests, manages the flow, changes paper or ribbon when needed, and assists if there is a technical issue.

At weddings, this is especially useful because guests are dressed up, the event is moving quickly, and you do not want a family member to become responsible for the booth.

What are animated photos?

Animated photos are created from several quick poses taken one after another. Guests have a few seconds between each pose, and the booth turns the sequence into an animated file. The printed version usually appears as multiple small photos on one print, while the digital version can be shared as an animated file or short video format.

Digital photo access after the event

After your event, you receive access to your digital photo gallery. This is useful for couples who want to keep all the fun guest photos from their wedding, and for parents who want photos of children, family and friends after a birthday party.

Photos are stored online for a limited period, so it is important to download your files and keep a personal backup.

Photo booth options explained

Options are there to adapt the booth to your event. You do not need every option. The right choice depends on your venue, number of guests, wedding style or birthday theme.

Photo design and custom layout

You can choose from existing photo designs, and we add names, date or message. For weddings, this may include the bride and groom’s names. For birthdays, it can include the child’s name, age and theme. A custom layout is useful when you want a design that matches your invitation, décor or event colours.

View photo designs

Dual print for wedding albums

Dual print is popular for weddings. One copy goes to the guest and the second copy can be placed in an album with a handwritten message. It becomes a relaxed guest book with real photos from your family and friends.

Up to 5 prints for group photos

In a standard session, one print is produced. If you want several people in the same group photo to each receive a print, this option allows up to 5 prints per session.

XL printing

Standard prints are compact and easy for guests to keep. XL printing creates a larger format, useful when you want the printed photo to feel more like a souvenir.

Green screen

Green screen allows a digital background to appear behind guests. It requires more space, controlled light and a setup protected from wind and harsh sunlight. It is better for indoor or sheltered venues.

Gold shimmering backdrop

The gold backdrop is a simple elegant background that works well for weddings, birthdays and evening events. It does not replace the background digitally; it appears naturally in the photo.

4G / 5G internet access

The email sharing feature needs internet. If your venue has reliable Wi-Fi, the booth can use it. If not, you can add dedicated internet access. Without reliable internet, photos can still be sent later after the event.

TV screen slideshow

A screen can display photos taken during the event as a live slideshow. This is fun because guests can see the booth photos appear during the party, creating more laughter and interest around the booth.

Additional setup situations

Most standard setups are straightforward. Extra setup fees may apply in situations where installation takes more time, distance or manpower.

  • Setup on the beach or far from the unloading area.
  • Use of stairs or difficult access to the venue.
  • Setup 1 to 2 hours before the rental period starts.
  • Relocation of the booth during the rental period.

Questions to ask before booking

Before confirming a photo booth for your wedding or birthday, ask practical questions. They help avoid last-minute surprises and make sure the booth fits your venue and programme.

What exactly is included in the package?

Check the rental duration, operator, instant prints, props, digital gallery, setup, removal, design and internet sharing.

How many hours should we book?

For many weddings, 3 to 4 hours works well. Smaller birthdays may need 2 to 3 hours. Larger weddings or long receptions may need more time.

Is setup time included in the rental hours?

No. Setup is done before the rental starts, so your booked time is used for guests to enjoy the booth.

Do we need to provide food for the attendant?

No. The attendant normally brings their own food, as the booth continues running during the rental period.

Can we change the event date, time or location?

Changes may be possible subject to availability. Busy periods such as October, November and December can be more difficult, especially Fridays and Saturdays.

Do we still need a photo booth if we already have a photographer?

Yes, because the photo booth serves a different purpose. The photographer captures the official story of the day. The photo booth captures guest fun, silly moments and instant souvenirs.

Is it suitable for children’s birthdays?

Yes. Children enjoy the booth, but the setup should be placed where adults can supervise and where equipment is not in the middle of running games or food tables.
